Crochet Pattern: Bunch of Grapes
By Candace – 7 CommentsBunches of grapes make a nice addition to fruit themed decorations and appliques. They would make a nice addition to a market bag or an accent for a table setting or kitchen set. The finished bunch of grapes is one sided so that you can use it as an applique. |

cute ! i like to have patterns for food items to put on dishclothes, dishtowels, etc… thanks for sharing another amazingly fun pattern !
Why wouldn’t popcorn stitch worked in triangular patch work just as well?
i wish i had seen this sooner! I used a grape cluster motif for my grandson’s first communion.. i made them from fondant for the cupcakes and self-hardening clay for the invitations…. i will keep this on file for future communions!! it would probably be cute on appliance covers as well….
I’ve crocheted each grape individually. Do you have any idea of the best way to tie them together?
I made another set of grapes, put them back to back, and whipstitched them together using a very long tail of the purple yarn. It worked great, because each grape is concave on the “wrong” side and has messy ends. Now my grapes are in 3 dimensions!
Obviously not what you want if you are going to appliqué them, though. : )
That’s a great idea, Marilyn! I normally hate ends, and that’s a good way to hide them. I bet it looks nice!
I tried several different patterns for grapes until I tried this one. I made some with appliqued highlights of burgundy and several burgundy colored, along with the ones that were purple. I love the look. Thanks so much for the pattern.
