Crochet Pattern: Hooded Scarf Version 2 (3 Sizes)
By Rachel Choi – 9 CommentsThere’s a new pattern in the Crochet Spot Store! This crochet pattern is exactly like my original Hooded Scarf crochet pattern, with the only difference being that this hood is curved and NOT pointed in the back. For folks who aren’t a fan of the point on the back of many hooded scarves, this pattern is for you! The hooded scarf features deep pockets on both sides and a ribbed edging along the front. The scarf and hood are designed to be wide and large to keep you extra warm during the winter. |

This looks so perfectly warm!!!
I love it!
Looks interesting! Does it have a back?
Hi Varsha, it is a scarf so it wraps around your neck. It doesn’t have a back like a sweater would. You can see the back of the scarf in the side picture.
Very nice…but what, pray tell, does this have to do with Hanukkah? The color blue? Please.
Hi Leslie, you can crochet this scarf for any occasion! It wasn’t designed for any particular holiday or occasion. I just chose the blue color because I thought it was pretty.
I just completed this hooded scarf this weekend – I love this pattern. It’s easy to follow and the results are great. Thank you for the great pattern!!!
I love this item and I just bought the pattern!
I’ve decided to do it in a rather thick yarn, though (using a 9 mm hook; don’t know the exact weight of the yarn). What do you recommend doing about the curve? Of course I want to bring the number of rows down to maintain the same shape, but will that make it too abrupt?
Hi Jeff, you can probably work the curve as it’s written in the pattern. The shape should turn out to be relatively the same, but if you think it’s too much of a curve you can always remove some of the rows as you see fit.
