Crochet Pattern: Slouchable Fingerless Gloves
By Candace – 5 CommentsA fun casual fall accessory, these fingerless gloves have a bit of drape in the arms, allowing you to scrunch them if you choose. They are perfect for a day when the weather is cool and the drinks are hot. The pattern is quite simple, but requires the invisible decrease technique, so advanced beginners may want to give it a try. The gloves are crocheted all in one piece and no sewing is required! |

I’ve gotten up to round 5 three times, but when I try to do round 6,I get stuck. I don’t see how you go from 24 stitches in round 5 to 32 stitches in round 6. Any advice?
Lynne, the chain in the middle of round 6 is what increases the stitch count. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
So you dc fpdc 6 times, chain 8, dc fpdc 6 times and then slip stitch into the first dc. That means you’re skipping across quite a few stitches. Is that correct?
Actually, there is no skipping. After you make the chain, you work in the next available stitch.
I got it! I did one sort of practice glove and now I’m making a pair for a friend. They look great and fit perfectly.
