Crochet Pattern: Baby Blocks

Do you have a little one in your life? Soft toys make excellent gifts for little one’s because they can’t harm themselves as they learn to play with them. Here is a great and easy to make idea for the precious thing. Simply sew squares together to create a box and give as is, or spice them up with select appliqués from right here on Crochet Spot. Just follow the instructions and if you feel adventurous you can do all sorts of things with this fun pattern! Baby Blocks

Skill Level:

Finished Size: 3″ (7 1/2 cm) wide, 3″ (7 1/2 cm) tall

Materials:
Medium Weight Yarn (approximately 36 yards per block)
Crochet Hook H (5.00 mm)
Yarn Needle
Polyester Fiberfill

crochet yarn size 4

Gauge:
Rows 1- 6 in pattern measures 2 1/2″ (6 cm)

Crochet Pattern: Baby Blocks

Square (make 6)
Row 1: ch 7, sc second ch from hook and in each ch across: 6 sc
Row 2 – 6: ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across: 6 sc
Single crochet evenly around square. Finish off.

Assembling Block
Take 2 squares and sew together through back loops only. Sew third square to one of the previous squares and continue to sew on squares forming a box. Before sewing last seam, stuff block with fiberfill. Sew last seam.
