One of the most enjoyable things to crochet is jewelry! Rings, earrings, necklace pendants, and brooches, all with the artistic flare yarn or thread naturally gives. Making your own jewelry says a lot and lends something noticeable to your appearance. To make this rose you begin with a strip of crocheted fabric and wind it around itself to resemble a rose. Here’s a tip: for a tiny rose, try size 10 crochet thread!

Skill Level:

Finished Size: 1 1/2” (4 cm) in diameter

Materials: Super Fine Weight Yarn (approximately 10 yards) Steel Crochet Hook 4 (2.00 mm) Yarn needle Ring Hot Glue

Gauge:
7 dc = 1”
3 rows = 1”
Gauge Swatch: 1”w x 1”h (2.5cm x 2.5cm) ch 9.
Row 1: dc in fourth ch from hook and in each across: 7 dc
Row 2 – 3: ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across: 7 dc

Crochet Pattern: Rose
Row 1: ch 26, sc in second ch from hook, *ch 1, skip 1 sc, sc in next ch, repeat from * across: 25 sts
Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, *ch 1, sc in next sc, repeat from * across: 25 sts
Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, * 4 dc in next ch-1 space, sc in next sc, repeat from * across: 61 sts
Finish off.

Roll strip around itself to form a rose and use tail and a yarn needle to sew together. Hot glue rose to ring.
