For a warm, earthy bathroom crochet this soap envelope in a hearty cotton yarn. By folding a simple square like an envelope you achieve an easy to make soap cover to use for the backup. Materials: Medium Weight Yarn (approximately 30 yards) Crochet Hook size I (5.50 mm) ½†– ¾†button Yarn needle Sewing needle and thread |

Round 1 in pattern measures 1†(2.5cm) in diameter

Crochet Pattern: Down-to-Earth Soap Envelope
Round 1: make an adjustable ring, ch 2, 8 hdc in ring, sl st in first hdc: 8 hdc
Round 2: ch 2, 2 hdc in each hdc around, sl st in first hdc: 16 hdc
Round 3: ch 2, (3 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 3 hdc) 4 times, sl st in first hdc: 24 hdc
Round 4: ch 2, (3 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 5 hdc) 4 times, sl st in first hdc: 32 hdc
Round 5: ch 2, (3 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 7 hdc) 4 times, sl st in first hdc: 40 hdc
Round 6: ch 2, (3 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 9 hdc) 4 times, sl st in first hdc: 48 hdc
Round 7: ch 2, (3 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 11 hdc) 4 times, sl st in first hdc: 56 hdc
Finish off.
Fold like an envelope and sew two bottom seams with a yarn needle. Sew button on to top flap. Tie a loop of yarn to lower flap from the inside and pull through to latch button.
