Crochet Pattern: Pumpkin Mug Cozy

By Amy Yarbrough – 3 Comments
With the arrival of autumn, everything is orange, brown and yellow, with a smidgen of green. Personally, my favorite color palette. You see it in the trees and the fields, and we celebrate the season with adding these same colors to our décor. Wrap you favorite mug in this autumn inspired cozy to add to the festive spirit. With a band of single crochet and a pumpkin applique practically worked in one round, it’s very simple and works up quick. For another mug cozy, check out last weeks Snowflake Mug Cozy. What a super cute, cute cozy I really love it, it is the cutest I have ever, ever seen. Thanks for sharing the pattern I will have to try to make this for myself.

I was wondering if you have ever tried making this using a wool based/blended yarn – do you think the wool would insulate it any better than using acrylic yarn? Love the button/toggle – makes it easy to get on & off.

    • Hi Susan,

I have never tried a wool yarn for this but the theory sounds good. They say alpaca is also good for insulating. And I’m glad you like the button, it happens to be my favorite part!
