Crochet Pattern: Cable Bow
By Candace – 9 CommentsA cable in the middle puts a twist (See what I did there?) on a classic accessory. While the bow is simple in concept, it’s a little tricky to complete, so it’s good to be comfortable with crochet cables and post stitches. Stitch markers may also come in handy for getting past the cable. |

Clever idea!!
That is so cute.
Confused abt
row Row 6: ch 3, skip 4 dc, fpdc in next dc and in next 3 dc, with hook in front of work, fpdc in first skipped dc and in next 3 dc: 8 dc
1 chain skip 4 ok so would be in 5, but 1 +4 then 1+ 4 is 8 but the chain is in the last space ???… what am i missing?
sorry did that wrong sd be 1+3 and 1+3 oops now that is 8 but there’s the chain issue. so ???
Hi Lizzie,
The chain doesn’t count as a dc. It’s just creating height the way it does in the other rows.
Could this be made into a bow tie with a clip?
Of course!
I found that sound fptr instead of fpdc in row 6 made for easier understanding of stitches in the next row.
Longer stitches are a great way to get through more difficult cables.
