Are you looking for a good accessory to go with your spring and summer wardrobe? How about a pair of earrings that look like honeycombs? You can make them in yellow and on the theme of buzzing bees out to gather something sweet. Or you can play with thread and bead colors for a unique look that’s all yours. Either way, crocheting a pair of these is much safer than bothering a real honeycomb!

Skill Level:

Finished Size: 1 1/4″ (3 cm) wide, 1 1/2″ (4 cm) tall

Materials: Size 10 Thread (approximately 15 yards) Crochet Hook E (3.5 mm) Earwires 2 Beads (about 6 mm)

Gauge:
Rows 1 – 5 in pattern measure 1 1/4″ (3 cm) wide by 1 1/2″ (4 cm) tall

Crochet Pattern: Bit of Honey Earrings
Start by string bead onto thread.
Row 1: ch with bead, ch 1, sc in second ch from hook: 1 sc
Row 2: ch 4, turn, sl st in sc: 4 ch
Row 3: ch 1, turn, 10 sc in ch-space: 10 sc
Row 4: turn, (ch 4, skip 1 sc, sl st in next sc) 5 times: 20 sts
Row 5: ch 1, turn, 5 sc in each of next 5 ch-spaces: 25 sc
Finish off.
