Crochet Pattern: Sweet Apple Coasters
By Amy Yarbrough – 8 CommentsWhen we think of autumn our first thought is usually pumpkins and then maybe fallen leaves, scarecrows, etc. But don’t forget apples! Here’s a lovely apple coaster pattern for those apple lovers, as well as those who want a little apple among their pumpkin. These coasters are worked in the round with simple stitches and shaping. The stem is joined in the pattern and the leaf is sewn on afterward.
This coaster pattern can also act as an applique! Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Thank you for this pattern. I plan on making coaster sets for teacher gifts.
Is there a difference between (dc, tr) and (tr, dc)?
Hello Lucie,
Yes, there is a difference. For (dc, tr) you need to do a double crochet first in the indicated stitch and then treble crochet in the same stitch. Whereas with (tr, dc) you will do them as written — treble crochet first, double crochet next.
Hope this helps!
