Finished Size: 5 3/4″ (14.5 cm) wide, 2 3/4″ (7 cm) tall
Materials: Medium Weight Yarn (small amount of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple) Crochet Hook H (5.00 mm) |
Gauge: not too important for this project.
Crochet Pattern: Rainbow Applique
Row 1: with purple, ch 14, 2 hdc in third ch from hook, hdc in next 3 ch, (2 hdc in next ch, hdc in next 3 ch) 2 times: 15 hdc
Row 2: change to blue, ch 2, turn, (2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 4 hdc) 3 times: 18 hdc
Row 3: change to green, ch 2, turn, (2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 5 hdc) 3 times: 21 hdc
Row 4: change to yellow, ch 2, turn, (2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 6 hdc) 3 times: 24 hdc
Row 5: change to orange, ch 2, turn, (2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 7 hdc) 3 times: 27 hdc
Row 6: change to red, ch 2, turn, (2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 8 hdc) 3 times, finish off: 30 hdc

I love this pattern, but when I made it, I thought it would was too big for the bag I wanted to put it on. Is there a way to adjust the stitches to make it smaller?
Hi Stefanie, you can use a thinner weight yarn with a smaller crochet hook.
