Crochet Bicycle Cozy
By Rachel Choi – 23 CommentsIf you’ve been visiting Crochet Spot for some time, you’d know that I love featuring fun, quirky, and out of the ordinary crochet items. Here is another one to add to the list!
This is a crochet bicycle cozy. I’m not sure if it’s just for show or if it’s suppose to be functional. I’m going to take a wild guess and say it is for show since it’s eye catchingly, neat to look at. I love cozies as much as the next person, but to crochet a cozy for a bicycle must have taken some good creativity and patience. I probably would never crochet one of these myself, but I am glad that crochet is expanding.

What do you think about this bicycle cozy?
I just love all your crazy crochet finds! This one is definitely over the top. It is fun to look at, but I agree, probably not functional. Except for the basket. That is pretty cute, probably something I would try to make.
Oh, that’s just WILD!!! Love it!
The bite seat would be useful!! And the basket is cute. But overall way too much time spent on something silly. 🙂
Love it! That is just fabulous!
It’s cute but, I’m sorry the first thing I said when I saw it was WTF??? It’s just too much! Nice find though.
I think its CRAZY! Like….how?….why??? The basket is great tho!
yao.
gotta make some extended wrap around fenders for a wheel shround and again for the chainrings. i think this could be functionalized
Well, it might help deter theives…
That’s hilarious!! Although I like the crocheted covering over the handlebars, that could be something to look into!
I Don’t Think I’ve Ever Seen Anything Quite Like That Before !! Someone Had Alot Of DOWN TIME. Cute, But Way Weird !!
I think it’s great! Like a crochet sculpture. 🙂
total waste of yarn, sorry to say but I gotta be honest….
Sometimes we need a little silly in our lives!! lol.
I love it! I think if a bike was left around for a while, this would be awesome to cover it up! (old rusty bikes laying around aren’t very pretty.)
Its great and having reached the age of 63 I feel I can safely say that you can never spend too much time being silly 🙂
It’s the stupidest thing I ever saw.
It’s fun to look at. I can see making everything on it except for the wheels. That would be a cool ride! Wish I had a granddaughter to make it for. Hummmm……maybe I should make parts of it for my stationary recumbent bike??????
Have a nice day, Rachel! We appreciate your ideas and patterns! >(‘v’)<
I just love it.
I wonder how long it takes to make one… very nice idea! =)
weird…
[…] rather than GRANNIES, but okay. The car can still function as a car too, as opposed to some of the yarn-bombed bicycles one sees that are completely covered in yarn and rendered mostly […]
This looks like the same yarn/color pattern as the Wall Street Bull Cozy so I’m willing to bet it was done by the same woman/artist…someone with WAY mor time on her hands than I have…
I really like the granny square car, the bike not too much. Even though to some degree it is someone’s “creativity”, but when I see things like this, I think, “what a waste of yarn”!!
Yarn Bombing at it’s best! Love the creativity (and silliness) of it all! Betcha’d never loose your bike!
