Crochet Pattern: Bun and Ponytail Hat (5 Sizes)

Posted in Best Crochet Patterns on December 17th, 2016 by Rachel Choi – 1 Comment

This crochet pattern was requested by a Crochet Spot reader!
This hat is designed for the messy buns and the high ponytails. No need to squish your hair when you wear hats, let it stick out the top. Each hat size is crocheted with an elastic opening so that it stretches easily over the hair and doesn’t leave a large gap between hair and hat. A tutorial for crocheting with the elastic is included. This pattern comes in 5 sizes, ranging from baby (if they’re blessed with lots of hair!) to adults, so that everyone in the family can have one!

Crochet Pattern: Cozy Keyhole Scarf

Posted in Best Crochet Patterns on December 10th, 2016 by Rachel Choi – Be the first to comment

Forget traditional scarves when you can wear a keyhole scarf! This scarf has a small hole strategically placed that allows you to pull the end of the scarf through to secure it around your neck. You don’t have to worry about knotting the scarf or wrapping the scarf around your neck multiple times and having it unravel. Keyhole scarves also use less yarn than traditional scarves, making them less bulky to wear and quicker to crochet.

Here is a cowl with the cozy, fashionable look of chunky yarn but without the uncomfortable bulk that often accompanies it. Designed with a high and a low end, this cowl fits just right around the neck. The high end is tall enough to be worn like a hood, while the low end sits comfortably under the chin. Rotate the cowl and wear the high end in the front and the low end in the back to create a nicely draped, classic cowl but without the bunching in the back.

Crochet Pattern: Snowman Toilet Paper Roll Cover

Posted in Best Crochet Patterns on November 10th, 2016 by Rachel Choi – Be the first to comment

It’s always a good idea to keep extra rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom, especially when you have guests over. Crochet this cute snowman to cover up a couple of rolls and sit him on the counter or on the back of the toilet. The snowman holds 2 rolls, and when you remove a roll the snowman shrinks/melts and becomes shorter! You can easily adjust the height of the snowman to hold more or less rolls by using the instructions within the pattern.
