Crochet Pattern: Candy Colors Baby Blanket

Posted in Best Crochet Patterns on October 6th, 2013 by Amy Yarbrough – 4 Comments
After I had been crocheting for a little while I wanted to move on to something more advanced, so I decided to make a baby blanket for my cousin’s first baby. I chose Bernat’s Baby Coordinates and found an adorable pattern with double crochet shells. It took me about six months but when I was finished I was thoroughly satisfied with my work. Since then I have made many baby blankets and found that they are my favorite project to come back to. Now I let my creativity roam free and come up with whatever design I feel like at the moment. crochet candy colors baby blanket

Want to give a room a splash of color? Or maybe a jolt of floral attitude? Try this pattern and go as crazy with color as you wish, because as a crocheter, you can do it! The thing that grabs me the most about crocheting is the ability to go wild with color. I love color: bright color, warm color, vibrant color. It can really improve a mood if you let it. So feel free to experiment! This pillow pattern is crocheted in two panel pieces that are then crocheted together around a pillow form. The flowers are crocheted separately and sewn onto the pillow. crochet totally rad flower pillow

Crochet Pattern: Airy Hooded Cowl

My favorite jacket and coat share several things in common, but the most inconvenient similarity is the lack of a hood, so accessories become a necessity. A hooded cowl is an easy alternative to a hat and scarf when it’s time to face cooler weather. This open shell patterned cowl is easy to customize. It is crocheted from the bottom up, all in one piece. crochet airy hooded cowl

Crochet Pattern: Diamond Ruffle Scarf

Posted in Best Crochet Patterns on September 8th, 2013 by Candace – 1 Comment
There’s a new crochet pattern in the Crochet Spot Store! Transitional weather calls for cool accessories like skinny scarves – enough to keep you warm without making you hot. The mixture of taller stitches and shorter ones give the edges a gentle lettuce effect. This scarf works up quickly, and the ruffled sections can be done while watching TV. The cabled diamonds require a knowledge of tall stitches and a few other tricks. crochet diamond ruffle scarf

Crochet Pattern: Peephole Clutch

Posted in Best Crochet Patterns on August 18th, 2013 by Candace – 2 Comments
I don’t know about you, but I like to keep music with me whenever I go out, just in case. The peephole in this clutch is convenient for stringing your headphones through, so you can listen to your phone or mp3 player (or Walkman, if that’s your thing!) with minimal fuss. You can also use it to hang your clutch on a hook when you need your hands free. The pattern calls for bulky weight yarn, making the clutch fast to crochet. It’s crocheted all in one piece so that there is minimal sewing required. crochet peephole clutch
