Crochet Pattern: Goldfish Washcloth

Posted in Free Crochet Patterns on October 25th, 2011 by Emilee Gettle – 12 Comments
I have a toddler in the house and that means that bath time is synonymous with play time! So I made this little goldfish for her to swim away with. I used old fashion cotton worsted weight yarn for super absorbency. Plus, it will lather up perfectly with her favorite bubble bath. This pattern could easily be adjusted to be a soap saver too! New baby on the way? Are you looking for a shower gift? These little fish are so fast to make, why not whip up a couple and give with a set of bath towels. The new mom will appreciate their playful usefulness!

Fall to me is beautiful leaves, the smell of wood smoke, apples fresh from the orchard, pumpkin pie and a handful of candy corn. Growing up I could not wait until the stores started carrying this delicious seasonal treat. So when my mom came to visit this week we made a candy corn pocket, which has a million uses! It’s perfect for holding your cell phone, dollars and small necessities! Children love this project. Make up a few for your favorite little friends and fill them with the real deal: candy corn! Crochet Pattern: Chic and Simple Neck Warmer

Posted in Free Crochet Patterns on October 11th, 2011 by Emilee Gettle – 10 Comments
I love to go for walks on fall evenings. Since the temperature has been dropping briskly, I like to have a little something around my neck to keep me toasty. I hate to pull out the full fledge scarf this time of year, so I decided a neck warmer would do just the trick. This project is so simple! Depending on the type of yarn you use, it can look dressy for a night out or it can be quite practical while you’re getting down and dirty winterizing. Not only do I love this pattern, but it even looks cute on my 3 year old daughter!

Crochet Pattern: Spiral Coaster

Posted in Free Crochet Patterns on October 6th, 2011 by Candace – 1 Comment
Protect your furniture from rings with this quick and easy-to-make coaster. It’s a great stash-buster or scrap project, and the color combinations are endless. Coordinate it with the colors of any room you like to have a cool drink in.

The two-color pattern makes the spiral construction stand out. Since it is crocheted in a spiral the rows have no proper beginning or end, so be sure to use a stitch marker if you need it or just use the color changes as a guide.

So, I whipped up this super simple hair scrunchie. This is the perfect project for using up leftover bits of yarn. Don’t forget to make some for the little girls in your life! If your winter style is warm and bold, this project is for you. Cuffs keep your wrists warm while adding flair to an otherwise boring top. These are worked in the round with several tiers of ruffles added throughout the cuff. These would look great peeking out from under a coat sleeve.

Crochet Pattern: Blue Raspberry Lollipop Applique

Posted in Free Crochet Patterns on September 29th, 2011 by Emilee Gettle – 4 Comments
There’s a candy store just down the street that sells huge lollipops in every color of the rainbow. Wide eyed children try to reach for the heavenly treats that are just out of their grasp. I suppose the manager has had a few broken lollipops over the years and so keeps them safe on the counter for the splurging parent to snatch. So, in honor of all those little ones who grow teary eyed for lollipops I created this sweet applique. It’s prefect for sewing on onesies or toddler shirts! You can make this project as large as you want by adjusting the chain and yarn weight!

Contrasting colors and a ruffled edging makes these booties hard to miss. The symmetrical shape makes them identical and eliminates the hassle of figuring out which bootie goes on which foot.
