Crochet Pattern: Bobble Bowl
By Candace – 8 CommentsThis bowl makes an interesting piece for the coffee table when you put your favorite things in it. Use it to hold candies or to show off your latest works in progress.
For extra fun, you can try crocheting it in wool and felting it for an even tighter fabric and smaller bowl. |

Easy for my beginners to do for coasters. Thanks
It reminds me of hobnail glass.
Especially a felted version would make a nice contrast of materials if set on a table next to a white hobnail glass bowl.
I would not use it with LIGHTED candles, but on the foyer table or dresser to catch all the detritus from our pockets! cute and great practice piece – bobbles! maybe a hat?
I got worried for a second there until I realized you misread the description. No worries, everyone, it says candies. I try to keep my crochet projects away from flames.
Really nice pattern. I’m pleased with my bowl…but I did omit the row 4 (48 stitches). It was simply too large for my needs for a “nic nac” or candy bowl, or whatever. I started with the dc rows right after round three. My bowl ended up being about 6 1/2 inches in diameter altogether, and 2 1/2 inches tall. I was happier with that size. 🙂 Was fun to learn the bobble stitch!
Can you explain how to do this 2 chains together? I am confused about that. I dont know if i have to make 2 magic rings and somehow connect?
Hi, can you point me to the specific part of the pattern you’re referring to? I don’t have any ch2tog in there, so I’m not sure what you mean.
I meant 1st and second round in your crochet patteen. I am not geting this ch1 and ch2
