The circular flower coaster is great to make if you need a quick gift for a friend or a fast solution to decorate your home. This dainty flower pattern is made with three colors to give it a different look no matter what colors you choose. Since this is a small project, feel free to you use scrap yarn! Skill Level: Finished Size: 4″ (10 cm) in diameter

Materials: Medium Weight Yarn (3 colors, small amount of each) Crochet Hook H (5.00 mm)

Gauge: not that important
Round 1 – 2 in pattern measures 1 3/4″ (4.5 cm) in diameter

Special Terms and Abbreviations
crocheting between stitches – the hook is inserted between the stitches of the previous round, instead of at the top of a stitch
tr5tog (treble 5 together) – *yarn over 2 times, insert hook into next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, (yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook) 2 times* repeat from * 5 times, yarn over, pull through all loops on hook
tr4tog (treble 4 together) – *yarn over 2 times, insert hook into next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, (yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook) 2 times* repeat from * 4 times, yarn over, pull through all loops on hook

Crochet Pattern: Coaster
Start with color A, ch 5, sl st in first ch made
Round 1: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 14 dc into ring, changing to color B in last dc made, sl st in third ch of ch-3 at beginning of round: 15 dc
Round 2: ch 1, 2 sc between each dc, changing to color C in last sc made, sl st in ch-1 at beginning of round: 30 sc
Round 3: ch 4 (counts as 1 tr), in back loops only, tr4tog , ch 9, (tr5tog , ch 9) 5 times, sl st in tr4tog at beginning of round: 30 tr
Round 4: ch 1, 9 sc in each ch-9 space, sl st in ch-1 at beginning of round, finish off: 54 sc
