I started making these scarves years ago and now it has become a tradition with me to make sure each of my family members has one. I really enjoy taking the time to choose a Homespun yarn that perfectly suits the person I am making it for. And with the great variety of colors Homespun has to offer, this can become pleasantly difficult. Give it a try! |

Finished Size: 6†(15 cm) x 60†(152 cm)
Materials: Bulky Weight Yarn (approximately 185 yards) Crochet Hook K (6.50 mm) |
Gauge:
5 dc = 2″
3 rows = 2″
Gauge Swatch: 2″w x 2″h (5 cm x 5 cm) ch 7.
Row 1: dc in fourth ch from hook and in each ch across: 5 sc
Note: beginning ch 3 counts as 1 dc
Row 2 – 3: ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across: 5 sc
Finish off.

Note: Beginning ch 3 counts as 1 dc
Row 2: ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across: 16 dc
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 60 inches or you reach your desired length.

The pattern calls for 185 yards of bulky weight yarn. I used one skein of Lion Brand Homespun.

It’s hard to remember exactly but I think I used Lion Brand’s Homespun in Mixed Berry.
