Crochet Pattern: Hooded Chevron Cowl
By Rachel Choi – 6 CommentsThere’s a new pattern in the Crochet Spot Store! This hooded cowl pattern is designed with a chevron pattern that gives a fun wavy look whether you crochet using one color or multiple colors. The cowl is great to wear in the cold weather months to keep both your head and neck super warm. The instructions allow you to adjust the size of the cowl to make it larger or smaller depending on your size and how you like it to fit. The back of the hood is pointed. |

Hi Rachel,
Have you heard/seen the infinity scarfs? They’re very popular right now and this design reminded me of them. Very nice!
Hi Lane! Are the infinity scarves the ones that are like a long continuous loop? If so, I think I have some that are similar on the scarf page (I call them the loop scarves): Scarf Crochet Patterns
I think you can also use any stitch pattern you like and make a loop with it if you wanted to create your very own 🙂
Yes, they are. I just love how you have “made” some except for crocheters! 😀
Nice pattern!
I loved this pattern! It was so interesting to work with and produced a gorgeous result. I was fascinated by how you combined simple stitches to create such a novel, wavy effect. Do you have other patterns that do anything similar? I don’t mind what kind of item the patterns make; I’m hoping for any other stitch combinations you might have developed that make interesting textures.
Hi Alice, I’m so glad you enjoyed the pattern! We have a bunch of patterns that have fun stitch patterns, probably, way too many to list here.
This granny ripple blanket is similar: http://www.crochetspot.com/store/?pattern=208
This scarf has a fun, textured stitch: http://www.crochetspot.com/store/?pattern=190
This doll dress uses a shell pattern, yet makes it textured: http://www.crochetspot.com/store/?pattern=192
Have fun exploring!
