This can be worn on the head as a hair accessory, used for a doll, turned into a present topper, or anything you could think of doing with such a small crown. |

Finished Size: 9″ (23 cm) circumference, 2 1/2″ (6.5 cm) tall
Materials: Light Weight Yarn (approximately 25 yards) Crochet Hook H (5.0 mm) |
Gauge:
10 dc = 3″ (7.5 cm)
3 rows = 1 1/2″ (4 cm)

Crochet Pattern: Mini Crown
Round 1: Ch 28, sl st in first ch made to form ring, ch 3, dc in each ch around, sl st in top of beg ch-3: 28 dc
Rounds 2-3: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, sl st in top of beg ch-3: 28 dc
Round 4: Ch 4, (tr in next dc, picot, dc in next 3 dc) around, sl st in top of beg ch-4: 28 sts
Finish off.

You may or may not know, that in Birmingham, England where I live, we have the Olympics 2012 taking place in London, Her Majesty, Elizabeth Regina II celebrates 60 years on the throne of England and as we are celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee, the idea of adapting this pattern for myself and making a crown-bandeau to wear to one of my evening engagements – worked in pearls and cream, using cotton….if I can I will send you a photo!

Round four says to chain four and join in the top of beginning chain three. Is it meant to be three or four chains? I’m going to make a few of these to help raise money for my church.
