Crochet Pattern: Simple Pouch

You can practice three of the most common stitches, single, double, and half-double crochet. After you complete these short rows, fold it, sew it, and you now have a functional pouch for pens, crafting supplies, or whatever else you need to store.
It is also a good quick project for non-beginners; its frequent stitch variation should keep you interested until the end. |

Materials: Light Weight Yarn (50 yards) Crochet Hook H (5 mm) |

Gauge:
10 st = 3’’
4 rows in pattern= 1.5’’

Crochet Pattern: Simple Pouch
Row 1: ch 11, sc in second ch from hook, sc in each remaining st across, turn: 10 sc
Row 2: ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn: 10 hdc
Row 3: ch 3, dc in each st across: 10 dc
Row 4: ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn: 10 hdc
Row 5: ch 1, sc in each st across: 10 sc
Repeat rows 2 – 5, 10 more times.
Finish off.
Fold the strip in half and sew the long sides together.

I was looking for an easy cell phone case, too, and this will do just fine. I could make a tie string at the top woven in and out to close it.
I recently made this pouch to give as a eyeglass case. I loved it. It was super easy and didn’t take long to make at all. I stumbled a bit on sewing the sides, because I lost my crochet needle and had to use another method, but it all worked out. Thanks for this pattern!
