Crochet Pattern: Two Layer Flower
By Erin Burger – 6 CommentsOne of my favorite things about crocheting is making fun and colorful flowers. This pattern is for a larger sized flower that can be made in two colors, like in the pattern, or with an abundance of different variations. This flower can be embellished, like in the photo, with a button or even a little mini pom-pom and would be great for a fun hat embellishment or a homemade corsage you can keep forever.

Love it! I love making flowers and those are AWESOME! Thanks Erin!
Nice. They’re simple and pretty.
Hi. I was wondering if anyone has a crochet pattern for a sunflower. I’m making a market bag in blues and would love to embelish it with yellow sunflowers. Thank you.
Hi Pamela, here’s the link to the sunflower: Sunflower Crochet Pattern
That matter comes with the stem, but you don’t have to add the stem if you don’t want.
I love this flower pattern, but i am having trouble understanding Round 3. “working behind flower, sc into ch6 of Round 1” ??? is there any way to explain to me (duh) what this means?
Am i going from behind and single crocheting into the “hole” that i have just fringed with the sc, hdc, dc,dc, hdc, sc?
help! please and thank you.
Hi Anita, yes the single crochet is made into the same hole (space created by chaining 6 on round 1) that you made the other stitches in. The single crochet you make will be next to the stitches you already made.
