Free Crochet Pattern: Orange and Blossoms Favor Bag
By Amy Yarbrough – 6 CommentsI’ve been so pleased with the response from all of you over my Favor Bag designs. I had no idea when I designed the Carrot Favor Bag that they would be so readily received. So here I am once again introducing another produce-inspired design: the Orange and Blossoms Favor Bag!
The bag is made with simple increases typical of crocheting in the round, while the greenery is designed to look like separate leaves within the material and is worked like filet crochet. If you haven’t done filet crochet, don’t worry, the instructions are not complicated. Then the bag is topped off with a blossom and a bud, crocheted with basic crochet stitches.

Straps
Cut 2 strands of green yarn 28″ long. Lay bag flat with seam directly in back and place two stitch markers one either side of Round 25. This will be where your straps lay. Thread yarn needle with one of the green strands and weave in and out of the stitches, starting at one stitch marker and ending at the same stitch marker. Do the same with the other strand.
Note: When weaving the strands through the stitches be careful not to stitch into the other strand or the stitches themselves, or this will keep the bag from cinching properly and ruin your strands.
Flower
Round 1: with yellow, make an adjustable ring, 6 sc in ring, sl st in first sc: 6 sc
Round 2: change to white, * (sc, 2 dc, sl st) in next sc, repeat from * around: 24 sts
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Bud
Round 1: with yellow, make an adjustable ring, 3 sc in ring, sl st in first sc: 3 sc
Round 2: change to white, (sc, 2 dc, sl st) in each sc around: 12 sts
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew flowers to the front and just to the side of the bag, being sure not to sew into Round 25 where your straps are. I recommend sewing them at about Rounds 22 and 23, but feel free to put them wherever you want.
Tip: only sew through center (round 1) so that the petals can pop out a little.

Hi Barbara!
Try using the print button at the end of the pattern. It is the button that has the little picture of the printer on it.
This is so pretty. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure, Twinkie Lover!
