How to Crochet: Magic Adjustable Ring with Tunisian Crochet
By Candace – Be the first to commentI recently set my sights on trying to crochet flat objects in the round using the Magic Adjustable Ring and my Tunisian in the round technique. Guess what. It wasn’t as simple as I thought it would be. But when have you ever known me to not enjoy a challenge? Trial and error and reading my crochet paid off, and now you can learn, too! You just need yarn and a hook with a cable.
Left handed? If you hover over the photos, you can see another view.
Start off by readying your ring as usual.
Pull up a loop in the working yarn, as you normally would.
Ch 1
YO, pull up a loop in the ring
Ch 1
(YO, pull up a loop, ch 1) until you have the number of stitches you want + 1 on your hook. For 6 stitches, I have 7 loops. Remember to move some stitches to the cable.
Insert your hook into the back of the first loop of the round.
YO, pull through 2 loops (replaces the ch 1 at the end of a row)
(Yo, pull through 2 loops) around. moving stitches from the cable to the shaft as you go.
And you’ve completed your first round. Complete the following rounds in the same manner. If you need help, feel free to leave a comment below.
