I work in a child care centre and I think many of the patterns would go down well with parents at our fundraising stalls. The soft owl pillow would be the first from the book I would try, followed quickly by the booties

My sister is having twins in two weeks. I love the sleep sack that they picture the little boy in. I would need to do one pink and one blue – can’t wait to be an aunt again!

  5. Gloria Rusnak says:

I loved the ribbed cardigan. It looks perfect for the little girl who wants to look grown-up. The sleeves are especially eye-catching.

I suppose it depends since I have a few gift recipients in mind. For one friend due in fall, I think the washcloths would be the best, after I witnessed the horror of a crocheted granny square afghan serving as a liner for the trunk of her car. I had to reign in my aspirations of creating and giving handmade love objects after this 🙂 I can also see myself getting an early start on Christmas gifts with the owl pillow, perhaps accompanied by a forest-themed lapghan, for one (or more) of my nephews. But for myself, due in winter, the entire TOC is game! =D

My sister just had a baby on the 16th (that’s right – yesterday)! I’m an Aunt for the first time!
I love the purple Ribbed Cardigan, it’s so girly looking and THAT is the first thing I would make from this book!

I’m excited for my niece . . . . does it show? LoL

  8. Oh, there’s so many pages they didn’t put in that interview, but since I’ve been on a “bootie”-kick lately, I’d love to get some yarn wrapped through my fingers to do a few pairs of those booties on the front. And, just for kicks, I probably would also make one of those little buntings.

That sure looks like one happy baby to have all those soft yarns next to his skin, don’t you think?

  9. Kendra says:

I love all the items in the book-and there are so very many of them! I’m most looking forward to the birdie mobile. It uses up scraps, can be made in any color, and is gender-neutral so can be made for any baby!

  10. DeAnna says:

Oh such a cute book! I want to make those Cutie Patootie Pants so bad and the sleep sack.

  11. Karen says:

I love this book, especially the mix and match motif blanket, but all the patterns are adorable!

  12. Nancy says:

I’d have to pick the sock it to me vest – with a name like that I gotta make one. I’m always looking for little boy gifts – think I found it. I appreciate more clothing optioins for children a little older than newborn. What a great book. Thanks for the opportunity to be the lucky winner and congrats to the winner!

  13. De'Anna says:

What little girl would not feel as pretty as can be in the hooded cape. I love that. Soon as I seen Linda P. did the book I knew it would be hard to pick one. All are pretty darn cute. Thanks for the give away.

  19. Sheree says:

I think that I would need to get busy very quickly making several of the ribbed cardigans for my granddaughter and great niece. Then on to the patterns for rhe boys. There are just so many patterns it is hard to choose.

  20. Rachel says:

I would definitely make the owl pillow first! It’s nice that there are cute patterns for boys’ clothes because my friend has a baby boy and I can never think of anything to make him.

  21. Kim says:

I think the first thing I would make is the Sweet Daisy Sundress. Then a bunch of sets of booties 🙂 I know soo many people with babies on the way or just born recently this book would be sure to keep me busy for awhile!

  22. trudi says:

Oh … where to start???? I think I would start with the birdy mobile. But it would be closely followed by the sundress, the cardigan, booties, cape………..

  23. Amy says:

I just love the little birdie mobile. I think mobiles are so great for babies (and grown-ups!) and this one is so adorable!

  24. Lindsey Russell says:

The daisy sundress is so sweet – I’d love to make for my baby girls!

  25. Andrea W says:

I am super excited about the giraffe and the owl. I have a nephew coming in August and it would be good to have something to give besides the normal blanket that I do.

  26. Janice says:

I want to make the “Little Birdie Mobile” and then try to make the daisy sundress. I have NOT made a garment yet and I think a baby garment would be better than trying to make a grown up item. This book is sooooo cute!!!!

  27. Meredith Chapman says:

I have been blessed with 4 grandbabies, 2 girls-2 boys, all four years old and under! My greatest joy is to crochet items for them from animals, little girly pocketbooks, hair accessories, backpacks, sweaters etc. I would immediately get to work on sweaters for all of them! They grow so quickly. AND, I LOVE the sundresses for the girls ages 2 and 3 months and the vests for the boys, ages 4 and 9 months. The hats – oh my! Oh I just love Linda Permann’s designs. Probably would make everything in the book!

  28. Cathy Huster says:

I have a few neices and nephews that are haveing a baby…from Aug. thru Nov. I like the booties and the hooded caplet.

  29. Violet says:

I love the Swing Set Cardigan. I have a friend who is pregnant with her first child and they know it’s a girl, so this sweater would be an excellent gift for her and her baby girl. All the patterns in the book look like fun projects. If I don’t win, I’ll be buying the book, that’s for sure. Thanks!

  30. Carole says:

I would be most interested in the everyday washcloths….very practical….

  31. Wow, hard to choose but I think I’d have to say that little bonnet. Looks like a quick fun project and there’s nothing sweeter than a baby in a bonnet. 🙂

  32. Jenn Lucas says:

I LOVE Stripe The Giraffe and the Sweet Daisy Sundress. I love to crochet for little people!

  33. Kay M says:

Ribbed Cardigan for my youngest granddaughter, and the Cozy Crawlers leg warmers for my grandson who tears his little knees up crawling as fast as he can everywhere he goes~!

I would make the booties. I love to use them as gifts and to donate to charities for babies.

The swing set cardigan and the star booties are my favorites!

I believe I would start with the ribbed cardigans…grand-daughter you know, and I donate to charities so many items would fall into that category.

  38. Elizabeth says:

I would make the swingset cardigan first, then the jingle balls, too cute!!! the cardigan for the girl I babysit for, she loves to watch me crochet and would be tickled to find out what I’m making is for her!
