I love seeing what everyone is crocheting. Not only do I find inspiration in other people’s work, but it gives me a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling to know that there are folks all around the world crocheting for the holidays. It makes me feel connected, even if crocheting is usually a solo sport.
In this post, I rounded up a bunch of holiday crochet photos that were submitted by readers. Enjoy the photos and be sure to submit yours as well to show off your fantastic work! To submit photos email them to me at [email protected] and include your first name and permission for me to publish them on the blog.

Crochet this quick trivet to place your hot pots and plates on. The trivet is crocheted with 2 strands of yarn held together to create a thick and sturdy fabric, perfect for shielding your table. Pick 2 strands of different colored yarn for a more colorful look. Choose 100% cotton or wool yarn, which work well with heat compared to other materials such as acrylic. For extra protection you can even crochet 2 trivets and sew them together.

Need a quick storage basket? Grab your crochet hook and whip this one up really quick! It is designed with 2 strands of yarn held together and a large crochet hook so that it is quick to crochet. While it is a soft basket, the yarn thickness enables the basket to stand up on its own without having to stiffen it. The basket is crocheted seamlessly in the round, like a spiral, and is topped off with an eyelet and wavy stitch pattern.

This coffee cup sleeve is quick and easy to crochet, perfect for beginners. It is made with one of my favorite patterns to create ribbing, single crocheting in the back loops only. The technique creates a stretchy fabric that is easy to slip on coffee cups of different sizes. Included within the pattern are instructions to adjust the size if you need the sleeve to be wider, narrower, longer, or shorter. Crochet a bunch in different colors for yourself or give them away as gifts! Get creative and personalize the sleeve with appliques.

If you’re a chevron lover but hate dealing with color changing while crocheting, here’s the perfect scarf for you! This unisex chevron pattern is cleverly designed so that you can see the ridges and zigzags using only a solid colored yarn. Of course you are welcomed to change colors if you wish or use a variegated yarn, but it is not required. The pattern is easily adjustable so that you can make it as wide and long as you desire.

Yarn comes in all sorts of different weights and thicknesses, from thin crocheting thread to super bulky weight yarn. Your favorite weight may be influenced by your favorite crochet projects. If you love doilies, then you might enjoy crochet thread. If you love clothes, you might enjoy a light weight yarn. Or perhaps your favorite yarn weight is determined by what is readily available for purchase near you. Lots of craft stores stock a lot of medium worsted weight yarn.
