Who can resist chocolate covered strawberries, especially if they are zero calories! Crochet a bunch of strawberries as a gift, as play food for children, or as decoration for your home. Each strawberry is crocheted seamlessly in the round with a special technique for a smooth color change. Make a variety of strawberries with brown yarn for milk chocolate, white yarn for white chocolate, or even all red for no chocolate at all. Embroider designs onto the strawberries if you’re feeling ambitious.

Here is a quick and simple mixed media necklaces that uses crochet circles and a metal chain. The circles are crocheted seamlessly in the round. They are easy to crochet, a beginner can do it! The necklace is then assembled using jump rings and any chain of your choice. Feel free to mix up the color of the circles and the lengths of the chains to create your own unique necklace.

Here is a granny square pattern that gives you the classic granny square look, but without the extremely large holes and gaps between stitches. This pattern creates a more solid fabric since it does not use chain spaces like a traditional granny square blanket. Although the blanket isn’t completely solid, it is more suitable for babies and kids since the “holes” are much smaller. The blanket is crocheted in the round from the center out. It is designed as one giant square that will not warp or distort in shape like a lot of other patterns that are crocheted in the round. Easily customize the blanket to be any size desired by crocheting more or less rounds. As a bonus, the pattern includes a step-by-step photo tutorial.

Requested by a Crochet Spot reader, this hat pattern was designed to match the Blanket Stitch pattern. Crochet a blanket and a matching hat to create a wonderful gift set! The hat is crocheted in the round from the top down. It starts with double crochet stitches, then transitions to the blanket stitch pattern. The hat will fit most babies. If you are interested in other sizes, please let me know in the comments section and I can work on putting together more patterns.

Right now, this topic is near and dear to my heart. You’ve probably been there, too, or maybe you are now. Maybe life got in the way, and once it settled down enough for you to crochet, you just couldn’t. Or maybe you crocheted too much (gift-making overload, perhaps) and are just a bit fatigued. Either way, you come to a point where, even if you have a WIP, you just can’t crochet. So how do you get back to it? Well, there’s no one true method, but here are some things to try.

By popular demand, the children size of the hooded cardigan sweater is finally here! Crocheted from the top down with no sewing required (other than the buttons), this hooded cardigan is easy to crochet and easy to adjust to create the perfect fit. Top down construction allows for the sweater to be tried on as you crochet so that you can go up or down a size while crocheting if needed. You can also customize the length of the body and sleeves to your liking. Crochet the sweater for boys and girls! Check out the Hooded Baby Cardigan Sweater pattern for baby sizes.
