Here is a cute, striped summer dress for babies! This pattern contains 5 sizes from babies to toddlers ranging from 0 – 24 months. This baby doll style dress has a fitted chest with a lacy skirt that flares out. The dress can easily be made as long or as short as desired. The stitch pattern is made up of cute circles that make a striping effect. Feel free to use as many colors as desired! The thread used in this pattern creates a thin fabric which is great for layering or wearing as-is on a warm day.

Are you ready to try out lace? How about lace in the round? Never fear. Once you get the hang of this simple floral pattern, you’ll be ready to tackle bigger projects.
As for this one: use it to decorate, link a bunch together to make a cool belt or bag, or adorn another project with it.

If you are a big bracelet person, have you ever tried crocheting your own? It’s easy and oh, so much fun! Choose a favorite yarn and follow the pattern’s simple instructions. The border on this bracelet is textured with a very ordinary stitch while the middle sports shells and clusters. Here’s an idea: for a lacier bracelet, try a smaller weight yarn while still using the same hook. Let me know what you think! |

When I gave you Five Fine Reasons to Frog Your Crochet, fellow Crochet Spotter Cindi commented to ask about how to pull back crochet without stretching the yarn out further and also how to get rid of the kinks. In this tutorial, I am addressing the first part of the question – how to pull back without stretching the yarn out further. In the future, I will show you how to get rid of the kinks.
Previously it hadn’t occurred to me that we might need a photo tutorial about frogging, but then I remembered back to when I was a beginning crocheter and I wanted to soak up everything possible about the craft. (Well, I still want to learn absolutely everything about crochet, but some of it has become second nature to me.) While this tutorial may be very familiar to many of you, I hope that it will serve as good information for beginners and researchers. Also, please feel free to share your frogging tips in the comments!

If you have ever looked at vintage pictures, you’ve most likely seen some cute ones of little children in the adorable clothing of that period. The bathing suits of 100 years ago can often be laughable to us, but my favorite era for bathing suits of all kinds would have to be between the 40’s and 60’s. This doll bathing suit was inspired by a rather average style from a time around these periods. The suit is very easy to make, has a tie for the top and a cute bag for bringing things to the beach. The swimsuit will fit most standard dolls and can be lengthened for taller dolls. |

Floral patterns are fun whether they’re created with colors, lace, or relief stitches. This coaster pattern uses stitches worked around posts to create a textured six-petal flower. The coaster is quick to make once you have a handle on posts stitches and increasing stitches. Crochet a bunch of these flower coasters in a variety of colors for a fun looking collection. |

I have come to realize, through griping about my crazy & out of control stash, that some Crochet Spotters may want a large stash. I also have come to realize that since buying yarn can be expensive, I should share some of the great thrifty tips that have helped me to amass such a vibrant & (well, now getting under control) stash.
Yarn is lovely and I am obsessed. That means that I budget for yarn each and every month. Through careful budgeting, shopping, and swapping, I have amassed quite a stash. It has taken me a long time to accumulate it! Truth be told, I am a very thrifty person. I have to be. Yet I still have yarn. If you want to amass an enormous stash, maybe these tips can help!

The mesh bolero is light weight and great for spring, fall and even summer weather. Dress it up by layering it over a cute dress, or wear it everyday with a tank top. The bolero is crocheted from the top down with no sewing required! It can be made in 9 different sizes from X-Small to 5X. Try it on as you go to ensure the proper fit. The bolero is intended to have a tight fit, but if a looser fit is desired simply crochet the next size up. As an adjustable top, you can make the sleeves as long or short as you like to create short sleeves or long sleeves. You can also lengthen or shorten the body.
